History of the Club

The club has a roots going back quite a ways into the past... with beginnings at the grounds of what is now the Southward Car Museum (Paraparamu), the club moved to the fields of Tawa, and then on to the Plimmerton Domain, Porirua - where it remains today...

The Club was open at Plimmerton Domain in 2002, with a Mayor Speech, a Maori Blessing and a Cake Cutting ceremony, not to mention a 90m range, and wheeled Targets!!

Indoor shooting at the Porirua Kennel Club was established some time back in the 90's, to compliment the outdoor range and is still going strong - that's a fair old time in the same spot!!

Over the years we've had plenty of good people - young and old, archer's and contributors alike. We've had our share of top archer's, including an Olympic Competitor, World Champs participants, and NZ National Champions.

The Club and our people have been there from the beginning, are still going strong today. Come join us in the fun, the challenge, the history of Mana Archery Club...
